Biography Liliana Condemi

Liliana Condemi was born in Condofuri, Reggio Calabria (Southern Italy). She attended the Art Institute of Reggio Calabria and received a diploma in painting from the Art School of the same city. Since her infancy, she demonstrates a big passion for the drawing. After the academic studies, she starts a painting production based on a naturalistic print inspired by the enchanting landscapes of her land. At the same time, the artist makes a search about the stylistic and technical plan that will conduct her, in the 80s, to elaborate and to transfigure the reality according her perception and sensitivity, reaching a free vision by the visible-rational limits where the freedom and the fantasy become the key to an understanding of the works. And so are born “I Cartigli by Liliana Condemi “ (Article published on Corriere of Reggio in 1993 care by art historian M.A. Mamone). In the long painting career has prepared numerous personal exhibitions and participated in many collective exhibitions in Italy and other countries, winning awards and nominations including merit medal from the President of Italian Republic and medal of the Italian Senate. However her painting is a career in continuous development. Liliana Condemi is teacher in Pictorial Disciplines. She lives and works in Brancaleone (Reggio Calabria, Italy).
